When the opportunity arose to build a brand-new rim in partnership with CSS Composites, made from recyclable material and adhering to Chris King's own stringent performance specifications, it was too good to turn down.

FusionFiber™, a material pioneered by CSS Composites, is a thermoplastic alternative to carbon fibre. It can be made into new products to prevent rims from ending up in landfill, is highly tuneable, and is more flexible than traditional thermo resin fibres, leading to better cornering and stability at speed.

Coupled with the hookless, tubeless rim is Chris King's own incredible Boost Centerlock Hub, with its 72 points of engagement facilitating efficient power transfer and its legendary bearings emitting their distinctive angry bee sound. As these bearings get older, they burnish to become faster. Add in a solid one-piece axle, and you get an extra-stiff hub that steers like a dream. Choose your favourite colour to go with your bike.

All of this goes into the MTN30 wheelset, built to accommodate a chunky 2.3-2.6" tyre, which pairs CSS Composite's decades of composite component expertise with Chris King's exacting craftsmanship and rigid quality control.
