The Chris King Road R45D Rear Hub - 142x12mm - Shimano includes a re-design of the King patented RingDrive system, which has 45 teeth for engagement with the hub body, rather than the 75 points of contact that distinguish the original model. This adjustment means there is less drag and the hub's angry bee sound is less noisy that usual. However, the power still reaches the ground wonderfully quickly when you pedal.

It also features Chris King's trademark smooth surgical steel bearings, which are heat treated and machined simultaneously for perfect matching and get faster as they burnish. A bit of simple servicing will ensure this hub keeps on going, even with a generous share of heavy use and abuse!
